Reason for Change
In response to a proposition by Constable Karen Shenton-Stone, approved by the States Assembly in March 2021, the Minister for Infrastructure has published an Island Road Safety Review. This review examines current statistics and trends in Jersey, offering a comprehensive set of recommendations to enhance road safety across the Island.

Jersey's Objectives:
Reduce the number of collisions and casualties on Jersey’s roads by addressing the challenges that contribute to road harm, in line with our strategic plan.
Develop and implement policies and actions that provide a clear framework for reducing road harm and support the political context and policy direction of our road safety strategy.
Promote a vision for a future with a road network free from harm through the adoption of the Safe Systems Approach, which is globally recognised as good practice and supports our long-term goal of “Vision Zero.”
Identify and prioritise key areas that need to be addressed to effectively reduce the number of collisions and casualties. Ensure that all priority areas are addressed collectively to maximise the reduction of road harm.
Organise and participate in road safety campaigns within the Island to raise public awareness and promote safer road behaviours.
